CPTED: Improving the Quality of Life Through Design Conference

Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the latest joint CPTED conference of CPTED-PCAM Canada and CPTED USA Chapters of The International CPTED Association, hosted in Calgary, Alberta.

This international gathering will bring together CPTED practitioners, researchers, planners, police, designers, policy makers, and community leaders to explore how CPTED continues to evolve—and how it can make a meaningful difference in complex and rapidly changing urban environments.

The 2026 conference on Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design, themed CPTED: Improving the Quality of Life Through Design, focuses on community building, empowerment, and stronger collaboration with government partners. As a training conference, it offers practical opportunities to learn new skills and build CPTED competencies within the ICA certification program. Delegates will deepen their understanding of CPTED, share experiences, and explore effective ways to apply CPTED in creating safer and more livable communities.
